The Goldenstone Rod Building Bench has been designed by Kurt Chenuz ...the owner of Goldenstone Fly Fishing. Kurt has combined his passion for fly rod building, woodworking, and engineering in designing and buiding these beautiful yet highly functional fly rod building benches. This rod building bench was prototyped and utilised by experienced rod builders before the final design was adopted.
This fly bench is made from solid oak. Kurt has used fine woodworking techniques in the joinery. The bench is finished with multiple coats of lacquer. The hardware has been choosen for its durability and strength to ensure life-long trouble-free use. Kurt has attached a ruler the length of the table to facilitate taking measurements while building the rod. A rod rotating motor may be added to one of the rod supports to facilitate the even drying of epoxy during application and drying. The table measures 24 inches in length, 9 inches high, by 6 inches in width. As with all of Kurt's products, they are tested for durability and designed to be heir looms passed from one generation to the next.
